Research

Our research is goal-directed on separation of organic vapors mixtures from air and determination of transport parameters of gases and vapors (P,D,S coefficients) in and through polymer membranes by permeation or sorption methods.

Lab Equipment

  • Integral permeameter for measurement of very low gas permeation (time-lag)
  • Differential permeameter (2x) for measurement of permeation of gases, vapors and their mixtures through polymer membranes
  • GC-MS Clarus 500 (Perkin Elmer) for on-line analyses of permeate composition of binary mixture
  • Gravimetric sorption apparatuses (4x) equipped with McBain spiral balances for determination of gas and vapor total sorption and sorption kinetics (gas equilibrium pressures up to 15 bar)
  • IR-spectrometer iS10 (Nicolet Thermo Scientific) with 250 ml gas column for on-line multicomponent vapour sorption analysis in polymers
