SIMOLANT
Computer simulation of phase transitions
Aims of this program:
-
In teaching of physics and chemistry at elementary and high schools:
A 2D molecular model of matter shows condensation of gas and
crystallization of liquid on cooling, and melting and evaporation
on heating up. Crystal defects, capillarity, an atmosphere in a
gravitational field can be studied as well.
-
In a university course of molecular simulations:
It supports both Monte Carlo and molecular dynamics, constant
energy and temperature, different boundary conditions, change of
the time-step and trial displacement. The radial distribution
function and coordination number can be shown as well.
You can download it as a ZIP archive.
Unpack it to a directory and read readme.txt.
WIN/DOS and linux are supported. Linux sources are available upon request.
