| Summerschool |
The main objective is to provide students with an insight into the field of micro-structured devices and multi-scale design of chemical processes. This field represents one of the top priorities of the EU in the area of scientific research and industrial developement and mainly enables the chemical and pharmaceutical industry to intensify processes for the production of fine chemicals. Such processes are characterised by higher safety and lower environmental impact as requested by the new European regulations. |
Room will be made for intensifying the dialogue between academia and industry on above mentioned issues, thus industrial employees are also invited to attend the course. |
The intensive course will offer 10 days of training and will cover recent discoveries in the field along with the fundamentals of process design and examples of successful industrial applications. Priority will be given to discussions with the respective academic and industrial lecturers. This will allow the participants to focus on individual research projects in contacts with leading experts. The hands-on sessions will involve work on a process unit consisting entirely of micro-devices. |
