The Department offers higher education in classical biotechnologies taken in a modern approach as brewing, distilleries, and winemaking, and the production of vinegar and other substances through the fermentation, yet also modern fields of bioengineering and biotechnologies as the pharmaceutical production, environmental protection, and alternative fuel production.

Alumni Labour Market Placement

Our Department alumni has been finding their jobs as production and operation engineers, technologists, research and development workers, workers in control laboratories and test facilities in food and pharmaceutical industries but also in enterprises and institutions dealing with environmental protection at the level of middle or senior management and not seldom also at positions of the company director. The alumni can also find wide placement in public administration at all levels thereof - from local self-governments to ministries. Their options of job are certainly not limited to the Czech Republic or Europe.
