Education and Research
Education and research at the Department of Glass and Ceramics is carried out by about 32 teachers, research fellows and technicians. There are currently about 60 students in the 4th and 5th year of study taught and supervised by the academic staff of the Department; yearly about 30 students obtain the degree of Engineer of Chemistry (Ing.) specializing in the chemistry and technology of glass and ceramics. This degree corresponds to Dipl. Ing. or MSc. There are also about 15 graduate students in the Department preparing their PhD thesis in a 3 years postgraduate study program.
Course Structure
The study program consists of lectures, seminars and laboratories followed by examinations at the end of each semester.
