Scientific specialization & research interest at UCT

  •   Ramato is doing an research on the future of sustainable energy. He is working on the Horizon 2020-funded project entitled Novel Material and Process Design for Reverse Electrodyalysis-Water Electrolysis Energy System (MARVEL) which targets on tackling energy challenges of society through the development of advanced materials and technologies for clean energy and hydrogen production using water. The major aim is developing novel materials and processes to advance renewable hydrogen production. The fellow actively participates in a high-quality research and training in the emerging areas of renewable energy research through multidisciplinary investigation approaches and intersectoral mobility. Successful implementation of MARVEL will not only contribute towards a secure and sustainable energy for the society but also lays a strong scientific and technical base for European science and technology, foster the competitiveness and growth of EU economy.
