Technology transfer at UCT Prague
UCT Prague is a Czech research institutions with intensive cooperation with industrial partners in nearly all areas of chemistry and chemical technologies, biological sciences and technologies, biochemistry, energy and fuel processing, and environmental science. Commissioned and contracted research projects are essential to UCT Prague’s collaboration with industrial partners. The translation and transfer of R&D into applied settings, technology transfer, takes place through such projects and also through licensing and the formation of spin-off companies.
Technology transfer at UCT Prague is supported by the Research and Technology Transfer Office, which handles intellectual property protection issues, conducts analyses, and otherwise facilitating valorisation of research activities. The Office also communicates with and deepens connections to industrial partners.
The Office also handles discussions with industrial partners interested in using UCT Prague’s special instrumentation and laboratory equipment, fosters the transfer of research know how to interested parties, and actively seeks new strategic R&D partnerships.
