Josef Schneider is the winner of the Student Competition for the Prof. Drioli Award as part of Membrane Day
In honor of Professor Enrico Drioli, a renowned Italian researcher in the field of membrane technologies who passed away in the autumn of 2024, the European Membrane Society (EMS, https://www.emsoc.eu) has designated his birthday, 14 April, as "Membrane Day" to commemorate his legacy and significant contributions to the field of membrane science.
Professor Drioli participated in the founding of EMS in 1982 and remained active for 18 years. He was subsequently appointed as its honorary president.
The Czech Membrane Platform (CZEMP) has decided to join the memory of Prof. Drioli through a student scientific paper competition. The announcement was made in the autumn of 2025, during the EMS Membrane Day 2026, for master's and doctoral students in the Czech Republic. (https://czemp.eu/membrane-day-2.)
Following a thorough evaluation of the submitted research works, a distinguished jury of Czech and foreign experts in membrane processes selected as the winner our PhD student Ing. Josef Schneider from the Department of Physical Chemistry, Faculty of Chemical Engineering for his work titled Synergistic Enhancement of CO2 Separation in Ternary CTA/CNT/Ionic Liquid Membrane: Unveiling the Individual and Synergistic Effects of Dopants. Congratulations!
