Data formats
To send documents to the data box, the electronic mailroom and to transmit documents on physical data carriers, use the following data formats:
- Static text documents and static combined text and image documents
- PDF, version 1.7 or higher,
- PDF/A, ISO 19005,
- TXT,
- RTF,
- DOC, documents in the Microsoft Word format, version 6.0 or higher,
- DOCX, documents in the Microsoft Word format, version 6.0 or higher,
- XLS/XLSX,
- ZFO (the ZFO data format is used for technological data box processing).
- Static image documents
PNG, ISO/IEC 15948,
TIF/TIFF, revision 6 – uncompressed,
JPG/JPEG/JFIF, ISO/IEC 10918. - Dynamic image documents
MPEG-2, ISO/IEC 13818,
MPEG-1, ISO/IEC 11172,
GIF. - Audio documents
MPEG-1 Audio Layer II or MPEG-2 Audio Layer II (MP2),
MPEG-1 Audio Layer III or MPEG-2 Audio Layer III (MP3),
WAV, PCM. - Databases
- XML, where the transmitted document in the XML data format also includes its description using XML or a Document Type Definition (DTD).

Physical data carriers that may be used for transmission of documents:
Data carriers of the type CD, DVD and USB flash drives.
The CDs and DVDs must be in the ISO 9660 format.
The USB flash drive must have a FAT32 or NFTS file system.
Confirmation of receipt
After an electronic submission is received by the electronic mailroom at epodatelna@vscht.cz, a confirmation of receipt will be sent to the sender in an email sent to the address provided in the submission. The confirmation will include:
- Short text about the delivery
- Date
- Subject of the submission
- Unique identifier assigned to the submission
Consequences of submission of faulty documents
If the electronic submission cannot be processed because the delivered document is unreadable, incomplete, it includes malware or does not comply with the technical requirements on submission, the sender will be notified of the detected error and the way to remove it. If the sender fails to remove the error or if the sender cannot be identified, the message will not be processed.
Handling of data messages where a faulty data format or a potentially harmful program has been detected:
