UCT Prague hosted the international conference Regional Institute Europe 2025

From May 22 to 24, 2025, Prague hosted the prestigious international conference Regional Institute Europe 2025, organized by the International ACAC association in cooperation with the Study in Prague consortium. The University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague (UCT Prague), played an active role in the event and had a unique opportunity to engage with over 200 high school counselors and university representatives from 45 countries around the world. The university presented itself as a modern, internationally-oriented institution offering top-tier education in English and a personalized approach to students.

Chemistry show as the highlight of the opening evening

The official opening of the conference, held at the Czech Technical University in Prague, was brought to life by a chemistry show performed by UCT Prague students. Their eye-catching experiments and creative presentation drew well-deserved admiration from the audience and became one of the highlights of the evening.

Personal meetings with school counselors

Ahead of the conference, the counselors visited six Prague universities, including UCT Prague. In cooperation with vice-deans and faculty representatives, the UCT International Office welcomed 45 international high school counselors. The guests learned in detail about English-taught programs, teaching methods, and the university’s individual approach to students. Current international students also joined the visit, offering an authentic perspective on daily academic life and living in Prague. Their openness and experience contributed significantly to the positive impression of the visit.

Active participation in the international university fair

On Saturday, May 24, UCT Prague also took part in the international university fair held at the University of Economics, Prague. The event was attended by over 350 prospective students and featured 72 universities from around the world. UCT representatives answered numerous questions about studying in English, admission requirements, and career opportunities for graduates.

UCT Prague strengthens its international presence

Participation in the International ACAC 2025 conference marked another important step for UCT Prague in increasing its visibility on the global stage. Through personal meetings with counselors—who annually influence the decisions of hundreds of students worldwide—the university succeeded in establishing new connections with foreign institutions and raising awareness of the study opportunities at UCT Prague.

The International Office of UCT Prague would like to thank all colleagues and students who contributed to the organization and implementation of the event. They showed that science can inspire, education can be international, and chemistry can be fun.
