CROSS Project presented at the PRIDE Network Conference in Helsinki

UCT Prague Representative Presented the CROSS Project at the PRIDE Network Conference in Helsinki

On 6–7 May 2026, the PRIDE Network Conference took place at the University of Helsinki, focusing on doctoral education support and researchers’ career development. UCT Prague was represented at the conference by Mili Markvartová from the International Office.

This year’s conference theme, “Careers – Twist & Shout”, focused mainly on the changing career paths of doctoral candidates, support for careers beyond academia, and the development of transferable skills.

As part of the conference, the CROSS project was presented through the poster From ResearchComp to real career action. The poster introduced project activities aimed at the practical implementation of the European ResearchComp competency framework in supporting the career development of doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers, for example through self-assessment tools, mentoring, and the development of transferable skills. The conference also provided an opportunity to discuss the poster directly with participants and share experiences related to the implementation of career support initiatives at UCT Prague.

Participation in the conference contributed to the exchange of good practices and strengthened international cooperation in the field of doctoral education and research career development.
