Postdoc Position in 2D Materials for Electrocatalytic Water Splitting
Position Overview
A 3-year postdoctoral position is available for a postdoc researcher (< 5 years post-PhD) with experience in materials synthesis and/or electrocatalytic applications. This position is funded through the Czech Science Foundation (GAČR) and focuses on the understanding of 2D high-entropy alloys performance in hydrogen/oxygen evolution reactions. The research will be conducted at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry of the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague (UCT Prague) in Czechia.
Candidate Requirements:
- Ph.D. in chemistry, materials science, physics, or related field (awarded within last 5 years)
- Hands-on experience with at least one of: 2D materials synthesis, top-down methods, electrochemical characterization techniques, advanced materials characterization (XRD, XPS, SEM)
- Demonstrated publication record in peer-reviewed journals (Q1 preferred)
- English proficiency (written and oral)
- Collaborative mindset for interdisciplinary teamwork
Contract Details:
- Duration: 3 years (full-time)
- Start date: January 2026 or upon mutual agreement
