Human Resources Strategy For Researchers (HRS4R)
In 2020, the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague acknowledged the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
The Charter and the Code oblige research institutions to create friendly working conditions, support professional development and apply transparent recruitment and selection procedures. It is intended for researchers and employers.
On 4 January 2023, UCT received the "HR Excellence in Research Award" from the European Commission, and the two-year implementation phase is currently underway.
Benefits of the implementation of HRS4R for UCT as a research organization and researchers
- The university demonstrates its compatibility with standards for research organizations in Europe and is more attractive and transparent as a member of consortia in international projects
- Harmonization of internal regulations and HR work with the principles defined in the Charter and Code
- Better international visibility thanks to the "HR Excellence" logo
- Ensuring transparent recruitment, selection and evaluation of researchers
- Creating conditions for a more attractive career in research
- Better access to funds for research from European and Czech programmes supporting R&D, especially a better starting position in HORIZON EUROPE ( (including specific programs ERC, MSCA), TAČR, GAČR etc.
