Return Grants – the RESTART Project
Financial support is provided for a research project aimed at supporting the return of researchers to their careers after a long-term interruption (e.g., due to maternity/parental leave, long-term illness, or child care).
Second Call: Return Grant
- The second call can support two-year return grants.
- The maximum amount of funds allocated to a grant from the RESTART project is based on the return grant calculator (see the attachment in the documents).
- The latest possible start date for a project from the second call is 1 June, 2027.
- Project proposals can be submitted from October 19, 2026, until 7 December, 2026, 3pm CET, via the APPLICATION FORM.
- The results of the competition will be published by February 28, 2027.
- Seminar for applicants will take place on 2 November, 3–4:30pm, room B2407 (register in researchapp web application)

While preparing your project proposal, we strongly recommend contacting the head of the institute where the project is to be carried out in a timely manner.

Competition results
